Install XP from DOS

Hi. I am trying to install XP from DOS. Firstly, i was unable to upgrade to XP from 98 because my BIOS wasn't compliant. It was suggested that I format the hard drive and try installing it from then. I have inserted the Win 98 boot disk, how do i not get on the way for installing XP?

Thanks, Andy

You will be best situated if you set the bios to boot from the CD and install the XP CD. Then follow the instructions to insall XP. Go into the BIOS and check for boot options - tell it CD first, then floppy, then hdd.

It may ask for the Win98 CD as proof of eligibility if you are using an upgrade.
