Hi, I am trying to install software ( Creative Audio Control Panel) for my Creative soundblaster external USB soundcard on my PC running Windows 7 but I keep getting this error warning: 'The Audio device supported by application is not detected' When I use the troubleshoot I get these warnings: 'Troubleshoot loading of multi resource, the application will exit.' 'And Loading of MUI resource failed'. I have had no trouble loading this on my laptop running Windows 7 so what is the problem with my PC please?
Hi Matt, I am following your instructions but at number 4 there is Load system services Load startup services use original boot config
but no Process system.int system file or process win.ini system file
use original boot config seems to be permantly checked.
1. Click Start then RUN 2. Type MSCONFIG, hit enter 3. On the tab your looking at (General), if selected or not choose SELECTIVE STARTUP 4. Uncheck the following: Process SYSTEM.INI System File Process WIN.INI System File Load Startup Items And make sure USE ORIGINAL BOOT is selected. 5. Go to the Services tab 6. Check HIDE ALL MICROSOFT SERVICES 7. Choose DISABLE ALL 8. Reboot
