Information bar at the buttom of Microsoft Word ?

  Antonio Machado 00:50 08 Jan 2009

Hola experts !

I work a lot with Microsoft Word and in some documents I see an information bar at the buttom (outside of the document I am typing of course) with some useful information, for instance at the left side of that bar it appears the page I am working on over the total number of pages of the document, something like this "Page 15/48". That information bar is very useful, but sometimes I can not see it. How can I recover it ? how can I standarize it so that it always appears in all my documents ?

Thank you in advance for all your help, best, Antonio.

It is called 'Status Bar'

Tools > Options > View > Show
Put a tick in box next to 'Status Bar'
Click on OK

Right click somewhere along the bottom bar and from the popup menu ensure that page count is ticked.

That should read page number, not page count.

Thanks Diodorus Siculus, my advice was for Office 2003 - I don't have Office 2007
