what other protection do you have on the comp which presumably is XP?
you may wish to run all of these on full deep scans to see what they find?

please note this is the EXE for a squared click here

taken from

'a-squared Free 3.0
Freeware! This program contains only the basic scanner. Background Guard, Automatic Updates, Scheduled Scans and HiJackFree are only available with a-squared Anti-Malware.

Version - 6/27/2007 - for Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, 2003 Server and Vista (16 MB'

I have retried ALL the links and all open ok; they MAY open minimalised in the task bar at the bottom, in which case you need to expand them to the full page

BUT I think you will need to register with the malaware forum ultimately

try again?
