Increase your broadband speed

Hi, thought i'd just post to pass on some info that may help you out.

I've been on MaxDSL for a while and been frustrated with speeds of around 2Mb and a stable rate of 1.5Mb (with Plusnet).

I'd tried new filters, plugged the router into the main socket and to no avail.

I then took the master socket faceplate off and plugged filter into the test socket underneath.... boy what a difference.

i have now bought a new faceplate filter click here

and immediately my synch speed went from around 2Mb to over 5Mb. Now that my line has been stable for the required 3 days, my stable rate and max download speed has now increased from 1.5Mb to 5Mb, that over 3 times the speed!

Not bad for a £12 investment. Okay there is a downside in that your router now has to be plugged into the master faceplate as all the extension sockets have the ADSL signal filtered out, but if you have a wireless router and wirless adapter card then its not a problem.

Hope this helps others.
