Incorrect timestamp on mail sent via AOL

  Thetford Brian 18:58 14 Nov 2003

Please help,
my friend is running Windows XP Pro and using AOL to send mail.
All e-mails sent are marked with EST time which is 5 hours behind ours.

Have checked the Date and Time Zone properties on her laptop - they state that the PC is using GMT time and the clock is correct.

Have tried changing the Time?Date settings then changing back again - mail still has the incorrect time stamp!

Is there something in AOL that is causing this?
(Running AOL version 8).

Any comments appreciated.

A free phone call to AOL is my first thought. They're very good at this sort of problem.

Thanks, will tell her to give AOL a call.
Just thought that there may have been some obvious solution, that I might have overlooked!

In the time zone settings, there are quite a lot of G.M.T time zones, some + and some -

You need to check that it says.

G.M.T Greanwich meantime Dublin/Edinburgh/Lisbon/London. j.

Yes had already checked that it was:
GMT Dublin/London etc. and NOT the + or - GMT zones.
