I save my uploaded images as JPEG files but prints are disappointing. Is it worth saving in BMP or some other format ? I am printing family photos on 260gsm high gloss inkjet paper with HP PSC2115. Thanks

I always print from a Tiff file with a minimum of 250 pixels per inch, with the printer set to the highest Dots per inch

While you are editing photo's you should save as tiff, as every time you save they degrade the photo if you save each time in jpeg. Then as a final save in jpeg or jpg

What is Tiff? Is it a compressed version of BMP?

Tif stands for Tagged Image Format. I never use anything else.
