If you include a copyright-protected file

in a website that you are designing on behalf of someone else, and that person informs you that he/she has paid a copyright licence fee, you will not be liable, should the information subsequently prove to be false.

You acted in good faith, believing all to be well. It's not for you to question what you've been told, unless it could subsequently be demonstrated that you had reason to doubt your client's word.
