Extremely slow to obtain ebay page. Any help please?

But why not try an alternative browser and see if there is any improvement?

If there is, the problem is likely related to IE, but if there isn't, it's more likely to be the operating system/communication itself. You need to find a way to narrow the problem down.

Personally, I don't use IE any more (other than updates) at all.

Are other pages/websites loading at a 'normal' speed?

If so, you should be pointing the finger of accusation at the ebay server rather than at IE6.

Other pages load normally, the fault is not with ebay itself as my brother has no problems at the same time.

Clear out temp files - try CrapCleaner from click here

Do you have any privacy software installed? A modified hosts file?

Downloaded your crapcleaner and had a good clear out.
