IE - page has expired

I'm continually getting the following error message when I try and use the 'back' button in IE, and have to do a page refresh to get it back - any ideas how to fix this?

" The page you requested was created using information you submitted in a form. This page is no longer available. As a security precaution, Internet Explorer does not automatically resubmit your information for you.
