After about 5 minutes on the internet, I get the following message "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor". When I check on details, I get "I EXPLORE has caused an invalid page fault in module unknown> at 000.00000013."
I am using IE5.
Can anyone help, please.
Joe

for starters instal IE6,

how much memory do you have?, and do you use a memory manager?

do you have plenty of space for your temporary internet files?

I installed IE6 some time ago and had a lot of trouble with it.Recently my hard disk failed and when I had it replaced I installed IE5.
I don't use a memory manager as far as I am aware.
I hope the following System info is of some help
- 224MB RAM - 73% resources free - Windows - managed swap filr on drive C (4015MB free) - Available soace on drive C: 4014MB of 6137MB (FAT32.
I notice that "verifying user name" appears twice when I connect and that actual connection is very slow.
Thanks for your help.
