IE 7 losing preferences

  bionicle 20:51 25 Oct 2006

I have installed IE 7 and find that I am losing settings when I go online. My homepage is BBC with a localised setting 'where I live' is lost. My Audible book club settings and bank user ID details are also lost between sessions. I often run CCleaner but have updated the relevant cookie settings to save the relevant cookies. I did not have this difficulty with IE 6. What do I need to do? (apart from using Firefox etc).

Got the same problem - I'll chip in if I find a fix. Can't see a cookie problem at the moment. Confused.

Hi, probably best to revert to IE6 until IE7 has been properly sorted.

Thanks Aargh, at least I know I'm not going crazy.

I've just updated ccleaner and found other cookies that originated from preferred sites - changed settings so we'll see how it goes.

I have installed IE7 blocker until it is all sorted because Msoft are going to make the update IE6 - IE7 automatic click here

There is a thread called IE7 that gives more details of the blocker

Ignore the first click that was supposed to go to someone else with the same problem.

This is still bothering me. Sometimes I can go onto IE7 and all my preferences are there and then on other occasions they are all gone. Does anyone know of a link to how to set IE7 to keep preferences.
