Hi there,
Can anyone explain why when I hit the icon for IE I get in the Address box: C:\Windows etc., I then have to scroll down until I find Internet Explorer.
Can anyone explain what has hapened and how I can correct this please?

Many thanks,

I am adding to my post - what it gives me when I hit IE Icon is:-
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\default.htm

I'm not sure I quite understand your problem from your description, but for starters, have you tried a repair of IE6? If you go to Add/Remove programs and when you click to remove IE6 you are offered three options one of them is to repair IE.

Just re-reading your post, do you get the torch searching for the program before the box opens asking for you to locate the program? If it does, the repair might cure it.

Hi Valvegrid,
No I don't have the torch searching at all. Simply get what I have stated by hitting the IE6 Icon.

I could have a go of course at 'Detect and Repair'
Thanks, I didn't think of that as I didn't think it was broken, more something I had done.

Many thanks,
