Have I received a spoof or genuine e/mail?
Supposed to come from Pay pal it says I can down load a Iconix ID tool which checks to see if my pay Pal e/mails are genuine.
Has any one else received this e/mail?
It started, Dear ... full name.
Seasons greetings to all, and thankyou .

Sounds like a spoof mate, cant see paypal needing something else to verify you!

Delete the email. Hopefully you haven't clicked on any links on it.

Thankyou madboy33 and rdave13, I have not clicked
on any links and have run a scan, all is well. I
had a feeling the mail was not from Paypal.
A very happy new year.

You can download it but not from an email or it's links.

Good idea really when you consider how many emails are sent as spoofs, only problem with me is that Opera & Thunderbird are not supported yet.
I will you this tool as soon as it becomes available.
As mentioned above, do a search on the PayPal website and you are directed to Iconix.

Thankyou ,Seekit and Bretsky and co, I did download the Iconix tool from the Iconix site after visiting the paypal security page.
Can,t help being a dumb female , but not for much longer, I will get better at this pc stuff though, new year resolution...
It is wonderful to feel I and of cause others can
now have peace of mind when receiving a paypal e/mail.
cheers, Danny7
