i7 processor date

The current PC Advisor says that Nehalem processors will not be available until next year. The information I have is that top end units will be with manufacturers this month and available in October. Does anyone know which is correct? I have been waiting to upgrade until these are available.

I think you will find that the article you refer to is aimed at the new high end server CPU's.

I stand corrected, and am sure that the FE will do so, but domestic versions will indeed not be available until next year.

Be happy with Quad Core for now.... I know I am.

Have yet to find any application that will slow this machine down :))
