i-Tunes Back-Up to Install on New Computer

  shazza65 20:47 20 Aug 2007

I have just had a new computer built and need to install i-Tunes on it. Obviously this bit is OK to do,however my daughter has spent a lot of time and money; a) uploading all her albums and b) downloading tracks from the i-Tunes store.

Can I back up all the tracks including the ones we have downloaded and install them on my new computer? Would I possibly use the "Export/Import" function?

In your My Music folder on the old PC, copy the 'iTunes' folder onto a DVD (the folder will be too big for CD). Alternativley copy parts of the 'iTunes' folder to several CDs.

Then simply copy the folder from the DVD/CDs onto the new computer, placing the folder in the My Music or Music folder.

Many thanks, simple when you know how!
