I need a .Vbs Script

  powerless 03:06 13 Jul 2003

I do not know anything about the Vbs's except that i would like one ;-))

I have no idea of how to go about creating one or what i would need. I've looked on google but couldn't narrow my serch any further...

I'm after a script that when clicked will display a message, create a .txt document on the desktop and then finish.

Anyone know a place where i could find such a script or something simliar.

Or even better anyone want to write me one ;-)))) I'd be very grateful!

To display a messsage type, in NotePad : -

MsgBox "Hello, World!", 0, "The Windows Scripting Host says"

Where Hello World is your message.

Save the .txt file then change the file extension to .vbs.

Double click the file. (It wont work if you have Windows Messenger Service disabled.)

The above is my total knowledge on the subject. Sorry.

PS The underlining of ' Windows' should not be in above post.

Oh dear. I bet the above 'Windows' is underlined also.

Whilst it does display a message box.

I really want it to be able to write a .txt file to the desktop.

Probably not I didn't look that hard, I suppose it depends how much you want to get into VB scripting.
