I need help with cleaning my hard drive

I cannot clean my drive with dban Because it doesent boot up the disk.

  1. is the disk containing dban bootable?

  2. have you set your BIOS to boot from DVD drive as first boot device.

Why do you want to use dban to clean your drive it will wipe everything including the operating system?

1.Yes it is 2.There is the broblem. I Have about 5 diffrent cd things in the boot menu.

3.My windows is corrupted and it can't be fixed and id like to get rid of everything.

Well i have a newer motherboard (Some kind of military class) So i have a newer interface.

Boot items are: UEFI Built-in EFI Shell; SATA1:ST1000DM003-1SB10C AND SATA2:Sony DVD RW DRU-875S

You may need to change your BIOS to legacy boot before you can set it to boot from the DVD.

Otherwise the EFI boot will always try and boot from the Hard drive.
