I have been receiving spam emails from my contacts

I read through previous queries about this on PC advisor and followed the advice. I have changed passwords on btinternet and BT.com. But now there are are even more random emails today. I am not sure what else to do. I have linked my email through outlook on laptop, iPhone and iPad. I have checked my sent box and all seems to be okay there, it's just my inbox Any further assistance would be greatly appreciated Thank you

It is my guess that someone on your contact list has had their address list hi-jacked and that is why you are receiving these emails.Changing your password only affects the email that you send out, not the ones being received. Have a look at the addresses and if they are not the ones you know, set up the JUNK mail to filter them out.

Thanks for your reply Terry I checked the addresses and whilst they are names from my contact list that I know, when you click on the address it just says A or C just one letter of the alphabet, and most want me to purchase some sort of financial service which I suppose is better than the usual Viagra stuff. I am getting about 30 of these a day. Should I be concerned? Many thanks

Some ISP's offer a spam filter system in their services. Have you checked to see if your ISP offers such a service?.

Thanks spuds it is btinternet and they do offer a spam filter. I have been moving them into the spam box for the past four weeks or so but they just keep sending more everyday :(
