Hyperlinks in word

I have a word doc with hyperlinks to various bookmarks in the doc.

I have now converted it to a pdf and all the hyperlinks work fine.

Now I have a second document that I want to have hyperlinks in to take me to bookmarks in the other pdf doc.

Now if I was hyperlinking to the bookmarks in the other word doc I would simply add '#nameofbookmark' onto the end of the filename of the other word doc.

If I do this to the filename of the other pdf doc, the hyperlink simply opens the pdf, but doesn't take me to the bookmark.

Any ideas?
