I connect to the internet via a cable modem. It only has 1 port to connect a PC. To connect 2 PC's do I connect via a hub, router or switch to the modem? Any ideas please.

There are a few ways to connect other computers to the internet:

1. A Router will let you connect up to 4 PC's but these cost around £100 for a decent one and they are a little tricky to setup properly...

2. A Network cable is a cheap option costing around £20 for 2x PCI 10/100 Lan cards and a long Cat5 cable, plus it is easier to setup (WinXP auto detects it all) and you can also share computer files/drives/printers through the cable also...
