From HTTP to HTTPS; Visitor rate down

In May 2015, we replaced the http site to https. Automatically visitors are forwarded to the https site. Since end of July the visitor rate (Google Analytics) is going down (+/-30%) and visitor rate is increasing since end of June on the http site.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Suzanne

following sir mistoffelees' question, i agree, if a user goes on the http site and he already know what he wants then it will take him a few seconds to click on the link/page he want to go to so he will stay in the http site.

Than you for your replies Sir Mistoffelees & Neveland. When peopple click on our http link somewhere they are immediately directed to the https site; they can't choose to stay on the http site. So according to Sir Mistoffelees the reason could be that the transfer to https is too slow, that people don't wait and quit...
