HP Laptop screen issue

About 2 weeks ago, a pink line appeared on my laptop screen. It is a straight line running down the length of the screen on the left side. A couple of days ago another line appeared, this time yellow. I am fairly certain that this is a hardware issue (driver re-install and system rebuild have not helped). I contacted HP who told me my 15month old laptop is out of warranty and will cost £250 to repair.
Do I have any other options?

Thanks

Not really it is a hardware issue rather than software I suspect. You could try ebay to get yourself a new screen cheaper and install it yourself. Usually screens are about £50 - 150 depending on the one you need. However some home insurance may cover you for the costs but remember the rise in the premium before you do claim.
