HP Deskjet 990cxi leaking...help!

It's leaking from the bottom. Is there some sort of Ink reservoir for waste ink that needs emptying. Or can somebody help me fix this?

I don't know the details for your printer, but there is a sponge where the cartridges park that wipes the head and mops up excess ink, especially when you run a head cleaning cycle.

What are you using. Originals, compatibles or refills. And how long have had and used the machine?.

We are using originals. It's part of a classroom setup so im not sure how old/long.

Original cartridges usually work fine, unless installed incorrectly. Compatibles and refill can have leaks, due to open air vents or overfilling.

This site click here suggests that you 'tissue' the print heads. If you try the suggestion, then make sure you have adequate newspaper, and rubber/latex gloves available. Printer ink can be very messy and difficult to clean-up. If the leak continues, then consult the supplier of the cartridges or HP support line.
