HP D1470 Chronically Slow To Print

  Legslip 14:47 02 Jun 2010

It seems to be getting worse. I have been waiting half an hour for a one sheet Word Doc to print in B/W. Drivin me nuts! Any solutions?

Try updating the driver from HP website.

Or if that fails you could try downloading and running the HP Print Diagnostic Utility - download link is half-way down the page

Thanks people. I'll own up. It was switched off. However, when it is on it is chronically slow so I'll have a run at the diagnostic utility. I have checked for latest drivers and upped the RAM to 2Gb.

It may be Windows spool that is corrupt

Thanks Woodchip but wouldn't a document:

1 Not print at all or stop halfway

2. Wouldn't there be a print job in the spool Q, which there isn't?

Dont know if it applies - I had trouble with Word 2003 and found it was an incompatability with my Norton antivirus, changed antivirus and now no probs.
