How to view/edit File Types that are not shown

  [DELETED] 03:31 27 Sep 2003

When I open Explorer/View/Folder Options/File Types there are some that are not listed and I want to edit them.

How can I show them and edit them?

If I try to make a new one, say for .bmp extensions, it says this is already in use. But it's not in the list.

Right-click on any file in Windows Explorer, and choose Edit With. Then you can browse and choose the program you wish to use to edit those files. An option will be added to the right-click menu. If you check the box that says "Always use this program ..." thereafter you can double-click those file types to open them in your chosen program.

When you right click your mouse in Windows98 there is no Edit With option!

SHIFT+right click in Windows 98.
