How to use PVR Hard drive for PC Caddy

  chrisbenwalker 21:15 24 Apr 2009

Hi All,
I am hoping someone here will be able to help me.
Basically, I have removed a Western Digital HD 160GB from a PVR that was playing up (think the HD is ok).
I have an external caddy I use for a DVD RW and another internal HD, although I would like to try to use this HD for storage also.
I have connected the HD to the caddy, and although it shows up under my device manager without any errors, nothing shows up in my computer, therefore not being able to use it.
Is there any way of getting this to work?

Set the jumper on the drive to Master. itshould then show in My computer.

Did this with a 160G drive from a Tevion also found some software to convert the rcorded programs so I could play them on my PC before formatting the drive and using for a back up.
