I need to scan and email a proof of purchase but not sure of how to do it.I can scan it but seem unable to find where it is scanned to.How can I designate where it is to scan to.The printer is a Brother DCP-J315W I am on windows 7
As Chronos says: your scanning program (an 'options' menu somewhere) will give you the option of changing the default save location to one of your choosing. Go look in there, and the default will tell you where to look for your receipt.
Hi Guys I am in IrfanView and have clicked on windows side by side and one side shows the receipt and the other the email I am sending it to (reply )
how do I copy it from one screen to another ie copy and paste
You probably have several programs that can do the scan. Easiest is as wiz-king has already said: Put your receipt on the scanner bed. Ignore Printer software. Start Irfanview. Click on 'File', on dropdown menu 'scan' (you may have to 'select source' - that is your printer), do the scan and save in my pictures, then you can attach or insert into e-mail the picture file you have saved.
Hi Woolwell what I need to do is send a proof of puchase ie my receipt which I have. I thought I could scan it and then attache it to a email. The scanned copy is located in my pictures in a folder called main. What is the best way to email this receipt.I used dropbox some time ago as I had quite a lot of photos I wanted to send to my brother in Spain and there were too many so I was told about dropbox on here and used it to send the photos and it worked fine now all I want to send is a scanned receipt should be simple but then nothing is as simple as it should be.
