How to run a cdrom from my hard drive?

  BobT. 13:46 08 Jul 2003

I understand that it involves creating a virtual cd-drive on my hard drive.
I tried to copy cd to hard but it does not work.
Any ideas?

Try a prog such as VirtualCD,I had a couple of games in 98se that used this app,but I ceased using them as more advanced games tend to have anti-copy systems, making these sort of apps useless.I deleted my setup app for this so cannot install it and give you the link to their site.(but a quick Google gives click here )

1. Hekko Virtual
Create a virtual CD-ROM drive on your Windows PC. Make images of your favorite CD-ROMs and use them from your hard drive. You'll improve data access speed, and wont need to switch disks in and out of your CD-ROM drive. Access your favorite games, music, or software. Nearly any CD can be imaged. Windows XP/Me/NT4/2000/98/95. 1.16MB. Free.
