How to replace optical DVD drive on a Sony VAIO

I have a Vaio VPCS13V9E and need to replace the DVD drive. I've purchased the replacement but want to know how to remove the faulty drive. From other posts it may be that simply removing one retaining screw will allow the drive to be pulled out and, on trying this, there is some resistance and I don't want to force it until I know for sure that the procedure is correct. Sony support will not give an answer, saying that the replacement can only be done by their repair centre. Can anybody help, please?

Sony are a little like Dell. They make much of their stuff to their own specification. More than likely, the DVD Drive is not standard
