How do you remove the operating system choice when the pc is booted up?
Not sure why its happened but a friend has winxp pro installed and no other Os but it asks for you to to choose between winxp and windows on boot up.
Is there an easy way to do this please?
Thanks in advance!

Click Start, Control Panel, System, Advanced, Settings [third], Uncheck: Time to display list of operating systems. Make sure the default Operating System is correct.

Also you can remove the entry from the boot.ini file if you want by clicking EDIT but you don't have to if you don't want to. Although if you want to, post back and we'll fly you through it.

You can remove it as follows:

Right click the My Computer icon, select Properties, and click the Advanced tab.

Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings.

Remove the tick from "Time to display list of operating systems"

Don't remove the tick from "Time to display recovery options when needed."

That's how to remove it, but has happened to cause Windows to ask this at startup?
