How to re-direct a webpage?

  dougle00 15:44 29 Mar 2007

Hi I used to have a page at click here but re-named it to click here

My problem is that some members have click here in their favourites is there something I can make to put in a folder called "joomla" that if accessed will re-direct to the correct page?

thanks recap, will I get penalised by search engines for using this re-direct?

And how do I create this into a file? do I make it a new phpbb file or html or do I need to add it to other code?

Thanks again

I'm still looking for a way of creating a file from scratch to re-direct a page that used to be there but is no more.

Thanks for the reply MAJ. I copied the text to a file and put it into a folder called joomla but it is still not working. it is here click here

Any idea what could be causing the prob? I know I am doing something small and stupid. Thanks

Your file reads:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;">

It should read something like:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="3; URL=click here">

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="3; URL=http:/ /ww">

without the spaces have put in.

without the spaces I have put in your website's address.

Thanks MAJ appreciate the help, I have made that change but still no joy, I'd also like it to go straight to the redirect page withouth having to click on the joomla.html file is that pos?

Thanks again
