hello, i have an IBM T42 Thinkpad, it has 1GB memory with two sticks of 512. what i would like to know is can i put 1GB in one memory slot and leave the 512 stick in the other one or would i have to buy two sticks of 1GB memory.
Crucial Memory Install the Crucial Scanner tool and it will do the rest for you and show the options. One of the best companies to deal with for memory and guaranteed.
Maximum Memory supported is 2Gb
....but yes you can add just one stick of 1Gb and leave one of your 512Mb in the spare slot.
thanks folks, much appreciated, one GB it is for me then for the moment.
