Hi,

I would like to make a section of my harddrive password protected? I assume software will be better at doing this than some 'hack'? Does anyone recommend any software? Or good Google search terms?

I currently have a Windows machine but i'd like it to be as universal as possible just in case i leave Windows behind and move to a different OS just as Apple or Linux...or even Android.

Thanks

A section of a hard drive could be considered as a partition

You could partition the hard drive and password protect it there are many programs out there to do it such as Easus Partition manager click here
