how to have a 5ghz router have a 2ghz bandwidth

  Lizzie K 23:08 14 Oct 2018

I have smart plugs that require a 2.4ghz connection to go through however my broadband supplier recently changed the router so that there is only a 5ghz router making my smart plugs useless! Is there any way that I can add that feature to my new router (they took the old one with them).

Thanks for any help :)

Not sure but I think all routers will be set to 5ghz or 2.4ghz all you have to do is go into the router via the internet and disable the 5.ghz and making sure the 2,4 ghz is working.

New router new passcode. I take it you have changed those when trying to connect to the new Wireless signal.
