How to enter SAFE MODE Windows XP

I need to enter SAFE MODE but my system has a lot of errors, I’ve tried the usual way by pressing DEL, F8, F10, SHIFT, but for some unknown reason it just bypasses it, if anyone knows how to do this please advise, I’m using Windows XP.

Press F8 during boot up.

keep tapping f8 when you first boot up and then select safe mode on the screen that comes up

sometimes on older keyboards those functions won't work so reset the computer during the start up to get the full options
