how do you save a screen shot ?

Hi do you save a screen shot? i think i realize you press "print Scrn" but the thing is, once i have pressed the button, i need to restart the laptop, because the display is a mess..........thanks

1. Press the "PrtScn" button and open "Paint".
2. Hold "Ctrl" and press "V" to paste the image from your clipboard
3. Save the image

You could also get a camera and take a photo of the screen :-D - but Matt's way is a bit better.

Or press Alt + PrintScreen to capture the active window. (You'll probably use that more often).

Then upload it to click here and - for this forum - copy the *last* link in the list, entitled "direct link to image".

Corel Photopaint has a natty answer in Corel Capture which allows all sorts of screen capture.

Other rivals to this heavyweight app. may well have the same facility.

thanks for all the help, could not do it with "print-scrn" because once the screen is broken up, you can not understand a thing, so as Rodriguez said, I took a picture of the trouble..
