Quite happy with WMP but Itunes keeps trying to take over mp3 - what do I do to stop it??

Right click on the mp3, scroll down to open with then choose default player and pick WMP.

When you right-click and select "open with" even though WMP is probably on the list of programs shown it is better to scroll down to "Choose Program" - then select WMP and tick the box "Always use the selected program to open this type of file". Click OK.

I get the same evertime iTunes updates but all I do is change the default media player back to WMP. Win7 call it Default Programs.

One of my flock suffers similarly.

Having removed ITune - she still gets 'updates'
I assume that once registered shill is still on the 'Broadcast' list.
Is this so?
If so how does she 'come off it'
