Hi there, i have Windows Media Player insalled on my pc and upgraded to Media Player 9. When i open up a music file the system crawls to a halt. Please can you tell me how to get rid of this media player as i wish to use another program to play my music. Many thanks, Craig.

And if you actually want to get rid of Media Player completely[and not just the update to WMP9],then get XPLite.

Tried the first suggestion from VoG but that has not worked.

I believe that the command is case sensitive. Copy it from my click here and paste into the Run box.

Then reboot.
