How do I do this?

  TommyRed 11:04 31 May 2004

From an earlier thread click here I need to know how to input ' For Windows XP Home edition: xpsp1_en_x86.exe -s:c:\bcd\cds\wxphome\files\ ' and how to run it from the c:\bcd folder. TIA TR

do you want to repair windows?

  TommyRed 16:29 31 May 2004

No, I'm trying to create a Bootable XP cd as I only have a restore cd. I'm following the instructions here but get stuck after I copy the 1386 file to the c:\bcd file click here lack of understanding of technical jargon I reckon. TR

That should read i386 file NOT 1386. TR

I've managed to include the i386 file in the correct folder, it's the slipstreaming stuff and command prompts etc on No.8 I don't understand. TR

Start, Run, type in

and click OK to get to a command prompt.

Could you explain to me exactly how I do this?
"Open a command prompt, go to the d:\bcd folder and run:
For Windows XP Home edition: bcd wxphome.
For Windows XP Professional: bcd wxppro.
This will build the (bootable) ISO image and burn it to your recorder" I have the folder already made and filled with all that's needed. TR

but my interpretation is to open a command prompt (as above) then type in the following two lines, pressing the Enter key after each

cd d:\bcd

bcd wxphome

To get out of command prompt type

and press Enter.
