How do I boot up as Administrator ?

Hi guys,

1/ Since the last auto update of Win 10, I lost the sign on as admin at boot up (without signing in).

How do I get that back please ? I'm sure that when I last did this it was as simple as clicking a couple of buttons.

2/ I keep getting a pop-up saying "we need to change your windows" !? I'm not sure if it's a scam, or genuine. Any advice please ?

I am also wondering if it's separate from problem 1 ?

cheers folks

Windows Key + “R” to bring up the Windows Run dialog box.

Type:

net user administrator /active:yes

Press “Enter“.

Thanks F.B,

I only see the key O.K instead of Enter. I pressed it and saw a small flash of dos prompt, so I guess it got wrote up.

I should know the next time I boot up.

cheers again mate.

Unfortunately, it didn't work.

Until a few weeks ago, in the morning I turned the PC on, then went into the kitchen to make tea etc.

When I got back to the desk, the machine was up'n'runnin, ready to use.

Now, I have input a password every time.

also: as in op *"I keep getting a pop-up saying "we need to change your windows" !? I'm not sure if it's a scam, or genuine. Any advice please ? I am also wondering if it's anything to do with the problem above* ?"
