Sir need suggestions on :
(a) External drive having usb 3 micro type B o/p.
(b) Broadband modem having four LAN port and 1 wifi port.NO USB port.
(c) Samsung SMART TV.
Requirement is to connect my external drive using some connector to modem and access it wifi for my laptop, tablet,TV.
If you attach the drive to your PC and set up the appropriate domain/workgroup with the necessary sharing permissions, it should be possible to 'see' the drive from any connected device, including your Samsung TV.
ßeta: I think Samsung has a version of that called Link (previously Allshare). It's downloadable e.g. here.
ßeta: oh, has it? But are Samsung Smart TVs DNLA compatible I'd always assumed not, which is why they came up with their own version.
It's a pity you can't edit your own posts on here... But anyway: I just saw Allshare described as "DLNA on steroids" - it is DLNA-compatible, and thus will work with all other DLNA-certified devices.
