How can i tell how much Ram

  Kevscar1 21:06 18 Jul 2008

Just got the new comp, ordered with 8GB ram running Vista Home Premium 64bit. Only shows 4Gb on screen and can't see anything in Device Manager.
Before you say open the case no chance.
Is there a program i can download which will tell me.

Probably phrased it wrong. system only shows 4Gb should V premium 64 show 8gb or does it only display upto 4 even if 8 fitted.
MAT Vista scanner from your link caused blue screen.
Ditch your link shows 4 but again is it capable of detecting 8
Don't want to demand refund if I'm wrong

Maximum ram for 64 bit Vista as follows:

Home Basic: 8GB

To see if your computer is running 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, do the following:

1. Open System by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System.

2. Under System, you can view the system type.

I have the disc. It states contains 64-bit software only
