How can I read emails from work at home?

  sarahswansea 11:42 16 Oct 2007

Is there a way in which all my work emails can be sent to my home computer as I'm on long term sick leave? If so how can I do that?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Your company's IT department should be able to set up access for you , probably using a VPN ( Virtual Private Network ) allowing you to log in the the company server and get things that way , but it will need their support and agreement .

My husband has managed to set up in work that he can read our home emails, just wondered if I could do the same with my work whilst I am at home. We don't have an IT department we tend to ring up a company when we have any computer problems etc.

Hi, though I have not read it myself, the third entry down on this Google page might answer your question, worth a try I guess.

If you are using Outlook, just set up a rule to forward all your work mail to your home email address. Set up an Out of Office note and then create a rule to forward your mail.
