How can I get Ethernet without an Ethernet port?

So long story short I am trying to set up a PC in my room and I want it to use Ethernet, but there is not Ethernet outlet in my room. There is however a phone jack and a coax outlet. I've been looking around online for a while and as far as I can tell I should be able to use one of these to get an Ethernet signal, I just can't figure out exactly how. So is this even possible to begin with and if so how do I do it? Thanks in advance for your help.

You can do this via an existing coax network, but I have no personal experience of using this method.

Take a look at this.

I would have thought a homeplug set up would be best.
