How to adjust settings on Windows Media Centre

I have Win Home Prem Vista SP1, 32 bit on my desktop. It includes a TV tuner card and as you know the OS comes with Win Med Ctr baked in.

I use Win Med Ctr (WMC) to view the telly. Problem is somehow WMC got into its little mind to start automatically recording TV shows even though I never told it to do so. It just starts all by itself. How do I adjust it so that WMC will NOT record unless I explicitly tell it so? I did look at the different options on WMC but didn't really find one to set this. Also I looked under Help and Support baked into the OS but didn't find an adequate answer. Help, my disk space is getting chewed (I manually have to go and remove the dvr files).

MCE Xp/Vista Needs to record/Buffer so you Pause Live TV, Come back later and carry on or Rewind to rewatch from the beginning.

Having said that, When you shut down MCE it should delete them as they are only TEMP Files.

Have a look at this click here It refers to XP, Vista works the same (just).
