House Plan software

  [DELETED] 11:04 22 Oct 2003

I need to obtain some CAD software to draw a floorplan and the outside elevation of a building (this cannot be in 3D). I am want to drag/drop windows, doors, brickwork into the drawing rather than draw them manually.

PC World obviously sell alot of packages for house design and they include floorplans. But I can't find any that allow the outside to be drawn.

Does anyone know of a software package I can purchase for this? It has to look professional. Thanks.

TRy IMSI Floorplan, it will do what you want, or if you want something a shade more expensive, Turbocad which includes floorplan. You could if you had enough money try Autocad

Jim, David, thanks for the suggestions. I checked these out plus a few other (Autocad LT included). These were either overkill or 3D based.

I eventually settled on Visio as the floor plan design is included and it is fairly easy to draw the elevations.
