Maybe something to do with file size limit ? to hotmail.

Dadyassa - you may well be right. Before setting up webcam I had acheived voice mail alone. Does this mean that I must dispence with webcam or is it possible to increase file size. If so how? Ancient apprentice

I just remember i wanted to send a few photos, but it said the files were too big but i could subscribe to more webspace if i wanted, but i declined.

i cant look it up cos my page has gone Spanish at the moment ??

Maybe its in MSN help ?

Dadyassa. When it happened originally I tried MSN help which suggested that I download DirectX9.0 which I duly did, but to no avail. It would seem as if my system lacks some sort of trigger. Ancient apprentice

Hi Ancient - have you successfully run DXdiag to prove the successful installation of DirectX9.0 on your system?

In the Open: field type "dxdiag" (without the quotes)
Click the OK button
Run through the tests presented on each tab.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks fruity69. Indeed have completed directX diag tests. All ok. Starting to feel that windows98 is inadequate to handle both sound and vision programmes together. Regards. Ancient apprentice.

Hi AA. If the dxdiag tests all run okay and produce sound I guess you have programming or settings incompatability.
1. Have you checked the settings in Control Palnel->Sound and Audio Devices?
2. Have you checked the settings in MSN?

Please post back results.
