Horizontal Arrows in Forwarded Emails

  CurlyLocks 21:22 23 Jan 2007

When you receive forwarded email messages there are often horizontal arrows breaking up the message at the start of each line.
I understand that there is a procedure or software for reformatting these messages to get rid of the arrows and improve the readability.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

OE > Tools > Options > Send >
Mail Sending Format > Plain Text Settings (or HTML Settings if that's what you use)
In the box that comes up UNTICK 'indent the original text with > (or whatever - drop down box) when replying for forwarding'

My apologies, I did not explain clearly. I am referring to forwarded messages that I have received, not to those that I am sending. I vaguely remember reading in a PC magazine some time ago that there is a way of reformatting these messages.

Oh no, My Apologies - you did put 'when you receive forwarded email'

- must get new glasses!

Will post back if I find anything that does it.

My thanks for the reponses, they are much appreciated. It is good to know that people will take the time and make the effort to help others.
I will try your suggestions.
