Most people wouldn't turn their noses up at such a system..:-)

How much?

  GANDALF <|:-)> 17:47 01 May 2004

Are there any hidden costs. Apart from that the spec is excellent.

The cost is just under £1000 interest free over 3 years

Not a bad buy, especially with interest free.As this is a government/ employer/ employee incentive, check to see if there are any special claw-back arrangements, during or at the end of term purchase title. Tax incentives can be a little complicated as to the unknown.

My previous posting was suggesting that the computer may never belong to you, even after 3 years payments. So make as many enquiries before you sign up. Some 'must look'info on Stuartli's links.

Very good of the government to get involved in a scheme like this.

I asked my employer if they would be participating and they said no.

Who is my employer?

The government!

Sorry, not related to your question.

If you are only using the computer at work and will not be gaming on it, then a £499 computer from PCW (which can be offset against tax as a business asset) will be more than sufficient...or am I missing something about this 'scheme'?
